Now more than ever, local elections matter for climate action
 

2026 elections are approaching quickly, starting with August 4th primaries. As in 2022 and 2024, the GR Climate Coalition is putting energy into helping our supporters and residents within Grand Rapids and Kent County to turn out to vote and make informed voting decisions in 2026. We want everyone in our community to have access to information about where candidates stand on issues of climate and environmental justice. (Note: GR Climate Coalition is not endorsing any candidates.)

This page features candidates for local offices' responses to a standard questionnaire.​ All the candidates for local races below received an invitation to complete our questionnaire. If we received a response from a candidate, it is linked below (click on the candidate's name). Responses are listed numerically by district if relevant and alphabetically by last name.
